At Q8Oils we develop high-performance stationary gas engine oils for many different engine brands. Our unique QRAS-analysis helps us to select the right lubricant for any application and to monitor all key performances of our lubricants. The historical data of these analysis confirm that Q8 Mahler performs extremely well in Liebherr gas engines.

Selecting the appropriate lubricant is crucial for the performance of gas engines. Each engine type is different and varies in lube oil consumption, pressures (BMEP), operating temperatures, etc. To make sure there is a suitable product for each application, Q8Oils has industrialized a broad range of gas engine oils. All these lubricants are the result of extinctive field experience and testing.

Although the results differ from engine to engine, they confirm the excellent performance of Q8 Mahler products in Caterpillar 3500 gas engines. The average drain interval of Q8 Mahler HA in Caterpillar 3500 natural gas engines lies around 2.000 hours and the Q8 Mahler G5 SAE 40 even delivers drain intervals of more than 2.500 hours.

Q8Oils’ QRAS analysis monitors your lubricants

Q8Oils has developed a routine analysis system to screen the quality of lubricants. QRAS stands for Q8 Routine Analysis System and monitors all the key performance elements of the lubricants (TAN, TBN, oxidation, etc.). The QRAS monitoring system detects lubricant deterioration in an early stage, making it possible to prevent problems and possible engine damage. In a long term it will lower maintenance costs because it indicates potential drain interval optimization.

The QRAS-analysis historical data is also useful to select the right lubricant for any application as it helps to predict and understand the possibilities of a good stationary gas engine oil.

Predicting oil performance in Liebherr gas engines

Over the past years Q8Oils has been using the QRAS-analysis to monitor the quality and performance of Q8 Mahler products in Liebherr gas engines. These engines range from 4-cylinder in-line to 20-cylinder V-engines. All Liebherr gas engines are designed to use in combined heat and power units or biogas plants with a power output between 59 kW and 1.070 kW. Our database with routine oil analysis samples of Liebherr engines goes back nearly 15 years, holding a treasure of valuable information.

Although the results differ from engine to engine, they confirm the excellent performance of Q8 Mahler products in all Liebherr gas engines. The average drain interval of Q8 Mahler HA in Liebherr biogas engines is over 1.500 hours and the Q8 Mahler G8 even delivers drain intervals of more than 3.000 hours.

Selecting the best lubricant for your engine

Are you looking for the optimal lubricant for your Liebherr engine? On request Q8Oils can give you more details about the performance of the Q8 Mahler lubricants in your Liebherr gas engine. You can also ask us about the performance of our high performance products, like the Group III based Q8 Mahler GR-series.

Our broad range of high-quality gas engine lubricants in combination with our rich field experience and historical oil performance data makes Q8Oils the ideal partner for high performance lubricants for your Liebherr engine.
