The challenge
For CNC machines to perform at their best, proper cooling and lubrication are not optional, they are essential. Given the extreme heat generated during high-speed machining, a regular and efficient flow of lubricant ensures precision, efficiency and tool life. Meunidec needed an all-round oil that was compatible with steels and non-ferrous metals. The customer wanted a cutting fluid with a better HSE profile (no H304 label, very high flash point) that would reduce consumption and production costs. The solution chosen was Q8 Bach 7022.

A high-performance cutting oil with very low volatility. This medium-viscosity, chlorine-free lubricant is manufactured on a high-purity synthetic base chemically obtained from natural gas, representing an innovation in cutting oil technology. With a high flash point and an advanced safety profile, this oil is a safe and effective solution for all machining needs. What’s more, thanks to its low volatility and reduced foaming and misting during high-pressure circulation, it reduces consumption. It’s also better for the health of operators and the environment.
